EP Free Store, which operates strictly on the principal of mutual aid, is hosting a commemoration of the Stonewall uprising. STONEWALL was an event that sparked the LGBTQI movement and the very first Pride Festival.
The event will detail how Pride has been taken over and diluted by Rainbow Capitalism, and how the community is reclaiming Pride and dismantling oppressive constructs that co-opted the liberation of the community.
The EP Free Store is on the corner of Bell and Fern across from Bellview Elementary.
Free food will be provided by Detroit Food Not Bombs-Food Not Class Collective.
Free clothing and other products from the FreeStore are available to the public.
We seek to bring radical awareness, acceptance and change to the suburban communities.
We stand in Solidarity with the Black Lives Matter Movement sweeping the world.
Black Trans Voices will be given priority to speak.
