The national movement to protest the societal injustices in policing found its power spread throughout the nation last weekend. Ever growing crowds of demonstrators moved to mobilize person’s of conscience to exercise their right to assembly and public grievance en masse. City to city, state to state, the outrage at the alleged murder of George Floyd brought citizens to the streets.
In Detroit, demonstrations are continuing nightly. The city’s curfew had little effect in the early days. As this story continues, that curfew came under review, and may be changed soon. Time will tell. PBN News was on site at the Michigan Avenue portion of the demonstrations on Friday, May 29, 2020. We submit a gallery for you, here. These images are collected from live stream footage at the event.
